Chris LeDoux and the Ignorant Individual

I have to admit, it wasn't until I moved to Colorado that I was introduced to Chris LeDoux. My girlfriend Stephanie and my good buddy Randy Burghardt played a major part in fixing my major malfunction of not knowing Chris Ledoux's songs and his story. And I'm extremely grateful that they showed me the way. Growing up in Iowa, I just had radio that played top 40 country. Sure Garth mentioned his name in a song. And being that I was knee high to a grass hopper at the time, I just accepted that this person was ancient and was a nod to Garth's upbringing. If you don't know who Chris LeDoux is, do yourself a favor and do a little research. For those of you who do know him, please don't chastise me! There are so many artists out there, and this was one that missed my radar. I have taken a liken to Chris's songs over the last year and admire his story. So when my girlfriend and I made a trip up to Sheridan, WY, I noticed we passed right by his hometown of Kaycee, WY. On our way back, we made a stop to see Chris's memorial. With such high accolades in the rodeo and music worlds, it was an honor to stop by and reflect on a man that is still affecting lives today. If you are ever in Wyoming, make a stop to see "Good Ride Cowboy" memorial.
